Maze and Labyrinth News - June 2026

It is that time again. Time for maze and labyrinth news from the past month.

  • How do you feel about an underground maze swimming pool?

I love when these videos come across my feed, and when the builders dug a maze I knew this was a video I had to share here. Now my main question is how did this video from 5 years ago with 5 million views just come to my attention ? I do not know, but it found me eventually.

  • Nice Joe Wos feature from TribLive

If you like mazes, then you know Mazetoons by artist Joe Wos. The Pittsburgh Tribune just added the syndicated comic to it’s paper, (his local paper), and did a nice write-up on him and his work. Check out his work on Comics Kingdom.

  • Glen Ray’s Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

I normally write a lot about corn mazes in September and October, but I just found out about this place and wanted to write about it early…The location features a corn maze, a kids play area, multiple large slides, a straw bale pyramid, a pumpkin patch, corn pit, races and a store. So, I am looking forward to the 2026 version. Check out the website and plan your trip. Here is a newscast segment about the history I enjoyed.

  • The Trinity Turtle Healing Labyrinth Park is now open

Check out this article announcing the opening and with outstanding photos ! It did make my list of 9 Labyrinths to visit in New Mexico which I need to update with new photos and video. Excellent labyrinth ! Here is some new drone footage:

If you ever visit South Korea, I found this very cool hedge maze. You will need to visit the island of Jeju. You can find the location on Google Maps and plan a trip at the link in the title.

  • Ravensburger celebrates Labyrinth game anniversary

I used to have a full review of the Ravensburger Labyrinth game on the site. Now it is part of my maze and labyrinth blog post: Some perfect gifts for maze and labyrinth lovers. I was excited to see the announcement that for the 40th Anniversary they will be releasing Labyrinth Chronicles. It looks premium and a nice update on the classic game. The board game geek page has a nice set of pictures also.

  • Labyrinth (2025) horror movie poster

This horror movie does not seem to have gotten much traction. It was released on Halloween 2025 and cannot be found anywhere but as a listing on IMDB. But, it does have a pretty cool maze inspired poster:

  • A maze table !

I saw this come across my algorithm on YouTube, the perfect combination of craftsmen making something and a maze. Easy to see how it got to me (and now to you)

Some news is evergreen and can be found in past monthly news posts:

Maze and Labyrinth News - May 2026

It is that time again. Time for maze and labyrinth news from the past month. So this makes a full year of news posts. I like how they are turning out. It makes me seek out news and gives me a location to write about more things ! You can find all the past news posts in the footer below.

  • Circulation - An upcoming maze game

There are plenty of maze games out there, but this one might be the most interesting looking. You play by moving a ball through a mechanical maze that looks futuristic, avoiding traps, pitfalls to reach the goal. Here is the Steam page for the upcoming game. Developed by Oleg Klaus, this is a game I will be watching.

  • Minos, a maze game, launched

Does this remind anyone else of the old arcade game Gauntlet ? I was addicted to that game. In this game you play as the Minotaur ! Check out the video below and the Steam game page for more details. Another cool game this month !

  • I did a mini-project to add more Indian name mazes

So I currently have 3 Indian roommates. That, and the fact that I started watching a bunch of Bollywood movies inspired me to research and create more Indian names for the Name maze section of the website. I found a list of the top 1,000 Indian names and had already made 132 of them (mostly the top names). I decided to fill-in any top name I had not yet made into a maze, then add some similar variations (if you make a maze of Chand, you might as well make Chanda and Chandan). In the end I added 135 new popular Indian names, more than doubling my total !

  • Coachella featured a maze installation this year

The Coachella festival is a cultural event every year (or at least it used to be, is it still ?), and this year artist Sabine Marcelis created an inflatable Maze installation on the grounds to provide shade. The sunset colored maze includes curved places to sit and you can read more about it in this article.

  • A 3D puzzle maze game that rotates like a Rubik’s Cube

This interesting clear 3D maze game caught my attention. I wonder how difficult it is ? I might need to buy one of these. Comes in 5 colors. There are multiple versions when I open the link, most of them less expensive than this one !

Maze and Labyrinth News - April 2026

I am back again with all the things I found during the month that didn’t quite fit into it’s own blog post, but that I found interesting about mazes and labyrinths. The news archive for past months is at the bottom of the post.

  • The world’s largest stone labyrinth is now open !

7 years after building began, a stone labyrinth called Kerdroya has been completed in Cornwall, England. Created by Cornish artist Will Coleman, the labyrinth is 56meters wide, (183.7 feet), making it the largest stone labyrinth in the world. The photos in this article show just how impressive it is. Plan a trip on the official website.

  • A Maze on the Restroom Floor

Never thought I would write that. I have written many blog posts about maze games, and Pac-Man was the arcade game that popularized the maze chase game genre. Well, if you live in Portland, OR you have probably visited the arcade Ground Kontrol. Located at 115 NW 5th Ave, this seems like the kind of place I would love to hang out. Eventually you will be to use the restroom and, as this article mentions, it includes a tile floor of our favorite arcade maze game.

  • A Maze Comic Strip

I have my own maze comic strip that I update every Wednesday, but I found this political cartoon by Bill Bramhall showing Trump in a maze. Check out the link to see it.

  • The King adds a maze to a garden

The Castle of Mey in Caithness, GB was a favorite of the late Queen Mother, who enjoyed spending time in the gardens. King Charles was a fan of mazes as a child, so when he had an opportunity to remake the gardens and grounds of the Castle of Mey he made sure to design a small maze in the garden. The article that spoke about this is making the rounds again, and I am looking for updates on the maze completion.

  • Micromouse competitions took place in March in the US

Check out the APEC Micromouse website which was scheduled for Monday, March 23, 2026. This features engineers competing to have their robotic mouses solve a maze the fastest. Here is a video showing previous contests:

I am back again with all the things I found during the month that didn’t quite fit into it’s own blog post, but that I found interesting about mazes and labyrinths. The news archive for past months is at the bottom of the post.

  • A hedge maze of Ireland in Ireland

Someone seems to have made a hedge maze in the shape of Ireland, using the counties as the internal walls in Tullow, Ireland. I found this article that shows the drone view. What the article does not do is tell exactly where it is and who created it. I did not give up, and I found it on Google Maps. It seems to be outside a Rathwood Furniture store that has been around since 1994. Here is a website to plan your trip.

  • A labyrinth painting on a wall in Malton, UK

If you walk down St Leonard's Lane in Malton you will find some new artwork, a labyrinth painted on the wall. It is near Yorkshire Tea Rooms and was created by a Methodist minister named Peter Clark. Read all about it and see the labyrinth in this article.

  • Ship vs. Maze game launches April 2nd !

This is my kind of arcade style game. Only 2 controls, left and right. Here is the announcement post that tells you about the game and here is the games official Steam page if you are interested in playing it when it releases.

  • A New Maze Generator to check out

This comes from a reddit post by abdullahmnsr in the maze group where he mentioned he made a free maze generator. You can check it out here: https://puzzlemazestudio.netlify.app/. It includes a maze generator that can make a maze of up to 1000x1000. The Pattern Maze Generator has 35 different patterns to choose from in a variety of sizes. An Image Maze Generator. Shape Mazes, Typographic Mazes. Room Mazes and Isometric Mazes. There is a lot to explore ! I love this isometric maze example (although it has no start and goal - new sites have things to work out).

  • Another new maze game coming to Steam.

The upcoming game Warrens of Random features 20 mazes to solve. Here is the official game page on Steam where we can monitor the launch date. There is also a downloadable demo to check out if this trailer makes you interested:
