As you read this, those of you that read with a voice in your head (or about 80% of you), should be hearing an English accent. Why ? Well Maze of the Week #193 is of the iconic red Double Decker Bus you’d find in England. I was very excited to take on this challenge and like how the maze came out. I have previously made a maze of some buildings in London:

These will not be my last mazes from London. Back to today’s maze. It is for kids. Color. I did some research. There is a MAZE HILL. I used an advanced technique on the windows which make them look like windows ! Enjoy.

If you live near Traverse City, Michigan, Jacob's Farm has a special maze this year for all those Deadheads out there. Plan a trip on their website. What a cool idea for this 10 acre maze.

I wrote a blog post about maze and labyrinth builders around the world and am always excited to learn about new people in the field. Lars Howlett runs business called Discover Labyrinths through which he has created over 80 labyrinths. The variety of styles is impressive on his homepage. An interesting project in Newhaven, East Sussex, UK

When I heard about this art project in Newhaven, I had to get more information to understand what it was. Well I just love this description from the website: “Come and play in the beautiful site-specific, geometric, multi-coloured, mainly wooden, non-screen based, playground/maze/artwork/sculpture thingy, for kids and their adults.” It’s kind of a maze thingy. You know… Here is the Google Map location of the Siding Bistro restaurant where the playground/maze/artwork/sculpture thingy is located.

Well it just so happens there is an exhibit celebrating the iconic game in Irvine California to celebrate it’s 45th year (we are getting old). I found it later than I would like since it runs from May 18- September 28 but there is still time to check it out. The artwork was really cool as shown in this video. I made a Pac Man maze many years ago before this site existed, and I constructed it in Excel. You can see it below.

A Corn Maze Marriage Proposal

This is one heck of a way to execute a marriage proposal. I should say that I was pleased it came from my home state of Ohio. Congratulations to Tim Sullivan and his (now) fiancé Caroline. Here is you article with a great video and pictures of the special day.

American History with a corn maze !

Fort Ticonderoga in New York is a historical landmark and tourist attraction that was built by the French in the 1750’s. This year it features a corn maze themed to celebrate the US’s upcoming 250th birthday. You can plan a visit on their website, with the maze information page very helpful.

Inflatable Corn Maze ?

It is corn maze season but did you know that you can rent an inflatable corn maze ? I saw this in an article and had to check it out. There are a few different versions you can rent like this inflatable maze, or this one, or even this corn maze. Personally I prefer the real thing, but I see how this could be fun at a backyard event.

An Unexpected Labyrinth find in CT

I came across this article about a hike at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Connecticut and really enjoyed the story of stumbling upon the labyrinths that are there. I fell the same way when I find a labyrinth in the wild. I wrote an article 7 Labyrinths to visit in Connecticut and did not include this one. In my defense there are over 70 labyrinths in the state to choose from. You can see a large photo and get more details on this labyrinth at the excellent labyrinth locator website.

The Return of the Great Maze in Fargo, ND

I have featured this maze before since it was made of hay bales in the past. This year it is going to break (possibly has already broken) the record for the largest cedar plank maze in the world. Here is the maze website to plan a visit. I updated this post with a view of the plank maze, but also kept the impressive hay bale maze video from the past so you can experience it ! This is the best view I have found of the maze from above !
