Mr. K (2024) IMDB
This is one of those weird movies that most people either love or hate. Our main character is a traveling magician who needs a one night stay in a motel. He finds a motel and checks in but has trouble checking out the next morning. It seems that once you check in, you are unable to reach reception or the front door to exit. No matter what hallway you go down it lead to another hallway with more rooms. There is not exit. There are many odd sounds and hundreds of people staying there. Basically the motel feels like an unescapable maze.
The guests in the hotel call of main character the liberator, thinking he will lead them out of the motel. They all act oddly and despite what they say they don’t seem to want to really leave. Some have jobs they are given. Things are weird but interesting. The motel is changing. The ending is odd. Not what you will expect. I would have preferred a different ending. I thought Crispin Glover was excellent in his role.
I give it a 6.3/10.
