Maze and Labyrinth News - November 2025

I am back again with all the things I found during the month that didn’t quite fit into it’s own blog post, but that I found interesting about mazes and labyrinths. Some news is evergreen and can be found in past monthly news posts:

June 2025, July 2025, August 2025 , September 2025 and October 2025.

  • Andor had a maze symbol logo in Season 2

I finally got around to watching Andor Season 2. I wanted to get ready for anything that might show up in the new movies being made in the Star Wars universe. Well in Episode 8 of the season during the protest scene, the flag being held up by the locals looks like a maze/labyrinth. I took a screen grab of it. The episode was outstanding. One of the best you’ll ever see for a tv show.

  • Popular Science covered the making of corn mazes !

A really nice article by Popular Science detailing how Exploration Farms in Indiana creates their corn maze. Here is a video of one of the farms popular older mazes as we get ready for the final season of the show:

And here is a video about corn mazes being made similar to the article:

  • The Magic Maze Game

Nothing really new or topical about this entry but I wanted to share that as I was waiting for check-in time for my stay in Uruguay I wasted some time at the mall and was happy to find this maze game on the shelf. Apparently in was launched in 2017, and I am not sure if I had seen it before. Sounds like a fast paced game that is good for a group of 4 to play based on the review at board game geek.

  • Michigan State Spartans alternative football helmets

I was watching football while making mazes on October 18th, a typical thing I do. Well I saw the MSU alternative helmets that featured a helmet stripe in the shape of a Greek key (appropriate for a team called the Spartans). I used to have a section on the website of patterns (no longer active) but I included a the pattern in a few mazes over the years because it looks so much like a maze/labyrinth ! The maze is one of 29 available in the The Pattern Boxes Maze Booklet.

  • A great article about Corn mazes as a supplemental business.

I think we all know that corn mazes are a money maker for farmers, but I wanted to highlight this well written article from Midstory about corn maze in Ohio. I learned the top 10 states for farms in the US (take a guess before visiting) and that Agritourism started to spike in 2017. For farmers the tourism season typically lasts about 6 weeks. Any guesses on how much they make during that time on average (check the article to find out).

  • An article about Toronto’s Path system

I have been to Toronto before, in the late Summer when there was great weather and I had no idea there was an underground pathway that linked the city together. Perhaps had I visited on a rainy day or in Winter things would have been different. As someone who has spent most of their life in cold weather cities I really appreciate this connectivity. Described as an underground labyrinth, this is over 30Km of pedestrian tunnels that link the metro to the buildings of the city. The article that alerted me to it is excellent, but some of you might prefer to watch your information:

Happy Maze-ing !
