Maze of the Week #108 is of a Squirrel. Did you guess correctly based on this preview? The Squirrel maze is featured this week because January 21 is Squirrel Appreciation Day.
Here is the first version of the maze:
And now the alternative color version, where I changed the background colors and gave our friend a darker, and less bright coat color.
Downloads are available in the comic book style maze section. Come back tomorrow to see what the comic book cover looks like !

Did you know Arizona has a unique labyrinth experience? I have selected 10 of the best labyrinths (there are well over 100) that are accessible to the public from around the state, focusing on the large population areas. If you want a full list of labyrinths in the state check out the Worldwide Labyrinth Finder.
Why visit a Labyrinth ?
Labyrinths are ancient and mysterious symbols that have been used for centuries for meditation, contemplation, and spiritual renewal. They are also a lot of fun to walk and explore! If you're looking for a unique and challenging experience, walk a labyrinth with intention - it often leads to self-discovery. Personally, I like to walk labyrinths between dawn and sunrise or at sunset until dusk. You may not realize it, but there is probably a labyrinth near where you live. So today we explore…

5 TIPS FOR VISITING A LABYRINTH
Set an intention for your walk so you can walk with purpose. It could be prayer, reflection, meditation, contemplation, or openness.
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as you will be doing a lot of walking.
Bring water with you, especially if you are visiting on a hot day. And in Arizona it is probably a hot day !
Take your time and enjoy the experience. There is no need to rush through a labyrinth.
Be respectful of other visitors. This includes not making noise and being respectful if walking with other people.

I am a maze artist and have made a few mazes of places in AZ you might want to check out:
You know the movie has the word Maze in the title, but you aren’t quite sure what the full title is. I can help. I have pulled together the 13 most popular movies with maze in the title. If the movie contains a maze or labyrinth as part of the story, I will watch and review the movie. Check out this list where I give you a description, a poster, some information about the movie and for a few a link to my review of the movie. If none of these movies are what you are looking for, maybe it is part of this other post: 12 Movies with the word Labyrinth in the title.
I break these “Maze” films into 4 sections:
The Maze Runner (2014) - (IMDB) (my review)
The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) - (IMDB)
This trilogy of movies are based off the very popular books written by James Dashner. The overall story starts with our main character not having a memory and being stuck in the middle of a large maze with a group of other boys. They must work together to escape. In movie #2 they have the new challenge of a barren landscape. And in the final movie they learn what the whole ordeal is all about while breaking into a maze. The movies also have some great posters if you like mazes and labyrinths !
I find that a maze can become an effective plot device in a horror movie, as evidenced by the list below. Being lost in a maze creates tension and you never know what you are going to find around a corner.
Woman in the Maze (2023) - (IMDB).
A group of friends break into a closed corn maze at night for some fun and games. A killer in a red hoodie decides to play a different game where he kills people.
Haunted Maze (2013) - (IMDB) (my review)
4 friends find a cursed Indian burial grounds in the woods and it creates a time travel situation that traps them there. Can they escape ? Image if Pet Cemetery was mixed with a bad horror movie and given no budget - that is this movie.
Into the Grizzly Maze (2015) - (IMDB).
A TV movie that is clip heavy from the show. Tells the story (with many stories along the way) of Hercules taking on the Minotaur. Good if you like the show.
The Maze (1997) - (IMDB)
A TV movie starring Tom Hanks that was a response to the Dungeons and Dragons controversy of the early 80’s. Friends decide to play the role playing game M&M in the local caverns - what could possibly go wrong ?
These maze movies include a prison break, a romance, a comedy and a thriller.
Maze (2017) - (IMDB).
This is a true story about a 1983 prison break from an Irish prison by IRA members.
Maze (2000) - (IMDB)
A comedy about a group of friends that get trapped in a maze fort Dave made in his living room out of old boxes. One of my favorite maze movies. Fun, and an original story ! You can’t watch this movie and say you’ve seen this before !
Iron Maze (1991) - (IMDB)
A thriller starring Bridget Fonda. A crime is committed in a small town and the perpetrator admits to doing it, but only in self defense. Is he telling the truth or is there something else at play ?
