When I created this maze I knew this was the perfect day to launch it (President’s Day in the USA) . Maze of the Week #216 features Mount Rushmore located in Keystone, South Dakota, USA. It was carved/built/chiseled between 1927 and 1941 when funding dried up (WW2). Luckily the President’s 4 faces were completed between 1934 and 1939. We can thank Gutzon Borglum and his son for the work.
Read about the site on wikipedia or watch this video (I love a good list video):
The maze: I have trouble drawing faces, but these turned out better than I had hoped. The shadows really help shape the faces. The rock crevices made good natural walls for a maze to use.
Download is available on the home page. Happy Maze-ing !
I have previously celebrated President’s with mazes:
And from my archive no longer on the website:
US Quarter Maze (George Washington)
Abraham Lincoln seems to be my most popular person to make mazes of.
