I review any movie that has a maze or labyrinth scene in it. I have done over 120 movie reviews, including The Batman (2022) but I never do television reviews. However, today I was scrolling through YouTube and a few videos caught my eye because they include two of my favorite things: Mazes and Batman, and so I wanted to do a quick post to share these with you. So this isn’t a review, but a specific episode you might like to watch. That being said I have seen every episode of this series and WOULD recommend it. It won many awards and is considered a top 30 tv series of all time !
From Batman the Animated Series, the Riddler gets Batman and Robin into a maze at the amusement park in Gotham (A favorite place of the Joker also). This maze scene is broken down into 2 different segments from 2 different people, but I suggest you watch the entire episode S1E41, called If You're So Smart, Why Aren't You Rich? (the episode originally aired Nov 18, 1992).
If you are into television and movie artwork check out Phantom City Creative out of Toronto. Great posters and designs from your favorite movies. They made the limited edition poster for this episode that you see below, which I love (could it be because of the maze ?)

But this isn’t the only time Batman has been in a maze. The Court of Owls storyline in the comics also features a maze under Gotham that the court uses to put people to death. Batman was captured and survived for 8 days without supplies. You can read about the details on the comic vine wiki. The storyline starts in Batman #4 - Face the Court, Part One for February 2012. You can find the maze in over 25 different issues !
Are we done ? Mostly. I wrote a review of Kids maze books, which includes Scarecrow's Nightmare Maze a Batman and Robin story for 7-12 years old, but you can read all about that there !
My early work included a lot of fan art mazes, but I have drifted into different styles and stayed away from brands recently. I did make this batman logo maze for bat appreciation day in 2019. It is a grid maze and not my best work to say the least. I looked at the method I used and wonder what I was thinking at the time. So I did a small refresh to improve it a tiny bit. Maybe someday I will make a great Batman maze, but this is not it.
