Maze of the Week #236 features Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock located in the Northern Territory of Australia. This is my second maze from Australia other than a map maze I made many years ago. The first maze, of the Sydney Opera House Maze is very popular on the site. I think this is my first, and probably last maze of a sandstone monolith, although I did need to check what monument valley was made of (sandstone buttes). Then I had to check the difference between a butte and a monolith. Then I learned the Rock of Gibraltar (I also made this into a maze) is considered a monolith, but it is made of limestone. Maybe I have more monolith mazes in my future. Read about Uluru on Wikipedia.
Here is a 3 minute video explaining all about the rock:
The maze: I went full color and used the groves in the rock as natural pathways. I also added some shadows to help give the illustration some shape.
Download is available on the home page. Happy Maze-ing !
