It is time to discuss what the website will be doing in 2026. The website has grown a lot since I first launched it. I still enjoy creating mazes and writing about them so the site is in for a busy year because I want to try some new things (while keeping some of the old).
What is the weekly posting plan for 2026 ?
Monday - Maze of the Week launch post
Tuesday - Comic Book Cover Maze of the week
Wednesday - Maze and Labyrinth themed comic strips (NEW)
Thursday - Blog Posts
Friday - Maze Design Case Study (NEW)
Saturday - Hard Maze of the Week (NEW)
Sunday - Day of rest, extra blog posts if needed. I may use Sundays to update some old blog posts with new information.
Tell me about the new items.
I decided to make some comic strips that fit into the website theme. I always had this idea and with the help of AI I made it happen. The illustrations aren’t perfect, but I did not have time to make them without the help. I think the first few I have done came out well. Ultimately, you’ll decide. There will be a landing page with all of them pulled together.
On Fridays I wanted to try something new while continuing my maze design case studies. Not sure how it will go exactly but I want to make a maze, then play around with it in different styles and see how it comes out. It (hopefully) is a project that will have cool discoveries and misses, but I am here for it. There will be a landing page with all of them pulled together. It is a way for me to learn how to use Inkscape better !
People seem to be looking for harder mazes. I am going to make Saturday hard maze day. There will be a landing page with all of them pulled together. I populated it with some older mazes to start.
What type of mazes will I see on the site ?
Every Monday you will get a maze of the week with a corresponding blog post about it. That is normal.
I have decided to do mazes of famous places from around the world. Lots of buildings, museums and landscapes. Famous place mazes have done well on the site so I am expanding them. Also they are fun to make.
Any new books planned ?
I had a huge year with launching books in 2025, both free versions and Amazon books. I will be cutting back on new books……probably. I do have a list of over 2 dozen possible books to create.
However, I am going to revise my free books one at a time to be more print and tablet friendly. I don’t have a schedule for this but I update everyone when I post them. Not sure how many I will get through but this is similar to my maze of the week re-dux project from 2025.
I will be expanding my Spanish language catalog of free books by translating older books as I revise them where it makes sense.
Comic Book Cover Mazes; Year 3 ?
Yes. I have fun making these. I decided to continue the series. If I make it to the end of the year, and I plan to, that would be issue #157.
Expect to see a lot of animal themed mazes again. There are plenty of animals I have not mazed yet. Mazequerade Comic Book Cover List tells you more about it.
They will sit in their own section again. Each year has a section on the site.
Pinterest ?
I started this in 2024 and I get some traffic to the site from there but my posts don’t seem to get much traction. You can check out my page/pins. Feel free to share my mazes there ! Honestly I’m not sure which I am worse at, YouTube or Pinterest ?
Every time I think something will work there it doesn’t. I have no idea what I am doing, but I will keep posting there sporadically.
Blog Posts ?
Want to guest blog about maze and labyrinth design ? Drop me an email ! With so much content planned I will be cutting back on traditional blog posts multiple times a week. One Thursday a month will be dedicated to Maze and Labyrinth News where I pull together multiple stories into one newsletter. I prefer one blog post on 10 different things rather than writing 10 different longer blog posts on each subject ! Important topics will remain stand alone. Expect to see a lot of updates on old blog posts also.
I hope you enjoy the site !
