Maze of the Week #240 features the fountain statue Merlion located in Singapore. The statue is the head of a lion and the body of a fish (very appropriate for a website that features mazes and labyrinths and is familiar with the minotaur). The statue was completed in 1972. I publish this maze today to help commemorate the Proclamation of Singapore that happened on 9 August 1965.
Here is a video all about the Merlion:
I visited Singapore and saw this fountain but did not take a picture of it. I did visit some nearby labyrinths and mazes however: Visiting a Labyrinth and some Mazes in Singapore
The maze: I went full color and used the brickwork underneath the fountain to start the maze, then moved into the waves and scales.
Download is available on the home page. Happy Maze-ing !
