HARD MAZES

New mazes are added each Saturday of 2026 which I introduce in a blog post. This page includes a variety of different maze types, each of them designed to be challenging to solve. I included some starter mazes from the past to populate the page.

Maze #0 - Slide Arrow Maze - Start at the red arrow. You may move to any space it is pointing at. Repeat this process until you reach the goal. Try to solve this without starting at the goal and working backwards. What makes this type of maze difficult ? There are way more possibilities of movement to choose from than the 5x5 size would make you think and the overwhelming majority of those are incorrect moves. Getting the 5 correct moves should be easy but it is not.

Slide Arrow Maze #1 - Think that wasn’t very hard ? Try this much larger version. I have stopped making this type of maze and taken them off the website because they are TOO difficult and not enjoyable.

If you are interested in making and designing your own Weaving Path Maze, I can help with that ! It is one of the few mazes where I recommend using a template to help guide you in the design. Even with the template it is easy to make mistakes. If you want a fun challenge try to find the mistakes in these weaving mazes, collected in Part 1 observation skills, and also in Part 2. It is a good test of your observation skills.
