The Roman Colosseum Maze

This maze of the Roman Colosseum is of one of the oldest things I have mazed (I think my maze of the Moon might clinch that). Well, then one of the oldest building mazes since this was built during the years 70-80. I have had the opportunity to visit Rome a few times and always stop by to see it. It could hold between 50-80K people during it’s history so it is modern stadium large. You can read about the history of the building on Wikipedia.

Here is one of my photos from a few years back. The place is always crawling with tourists from early in the morning to late at night. I found it difficult to get a good photo off because it is always so crowded, the structure is very large, and there always seems to be modern structures/signs/construction equipment in the way.

Colosseum, Rome, Italy.

When I made the maze I decided to do a simple style rather than a detailed and more destructed version with holes, jagged edges, shadows and blemishes. I think this version came out fine, especially when you consider how much time it required.
