Maze of the Week #88 - Red Rocks Amphitheatre Maze

Maze of the Week #88 is my first maze of an outdoor amphitheater, the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. This is another maze that I abandoned at one time, then went back and revised. It is also my 5th maze from Colorado (the other 4 links are below).

Photos: You can find many different wonderful photos of the amphitheatre, and depending on the time of day and the sun/clouds the colors of the red rocks change color tones. This photo is from flickr, DragonWoman

YouTube: Just a wonderful setting to see anything as shown in this video !

The Maze: Originally this maze was abandoned and made my list of mistakes in maze making. You can read about those mazes here:

Why I abandoned these 10 mazes - Mistakes in Maze making

Then I went back and made it into another case study, which you can read about here. Here is the final maze, in color and using a hand drawn construction.

Maze of the Week #87 - Danzante Conchero Chichimeca Maze

Maze of the Week #87 takes us to the city of Queretaro in Mexico. This statue of the Danzante Conchero Chichimeca is located just outside of the main plaza in the city. If you visit you will be sure to see it. I lived nearby and have walked past it hundreds of times. You mazy not notice but there is some color on the statue, although the feathers near the head of the dancer have faded over time (they were blue and white).

Photos: All taken by me.

YouTube: This is a long video of the festival in Queretaro that shows many different festivities like a parade and dancing. I do not think I am in the background of this video, but…maybe. I did attend many of these things !

Maze of the Week #85 - Chicago Theatre Sign Maze

Maze of the Week #85 is a sign maze of the Chicago Theatre. Built in 1921, this famous theatre continues to operate and hosts all types of performing arts performances. It is located in the Loop area of Chicago and is a part of the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. And of course it has a famous, great looking sign which interested me.

If you plan on visiting here is their website !

YouTube: You just need 40 seconds to watch this one!

The Maze: I went with a full color sign while adding the details of surrounding buildings in black and white. I put the maze in the gold colored border around the sign with the Start and Goal at the bottom. I really like the structure and hope you do too ! And I left out the corporate branding on top.

Maze of the Week #83 - Pro Football Hall of Fame Maze

Maze of the Week #83 takes me to the city of my birth, Canton, Ohio with this maze of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I have been past this building hundreds of times and had the opportunity to visit a few times. If you get a chance you should plan a visit. And I have also had a chance to meet many hall of famers who are attending the festivities. Really cool.
